50s 60s Day Dress Vintage Plaid Checked New Old Stock M/L
Be the first to wear this too-cute rockabilly vintage day dress, probably dating to the early 1960s! Fitted bodice with short sleeves - I love how the plaid is turned on the diagonal and used as a design element for the rounded neckband and front placket that goes down to the hem. A jaunty bodice tab is anchored by a large flat black button. The slim skirt has some small pleats in front to soften the tummy area.
Lightweight fabric with a cottony feel - label says it's a cotton/arnel blend. Cute checked plaid weave using rust and black.
Simpli-Smart by Simplicity. The hang tag says "...makes every day a big fashion event! Because there are so many lovely fashion 'extras' for beautiful living day after day..."
Metal zipper down the front that ends 8" below the waist, hidden snaps at the neck.
New old stock, no issues noted. The dress has thread loops for a belt, but no belt found with the dress.
