*(big)Fabric:* Incredible soft and supple suede that I believe is deerskin, in rust. Top stitching done in muted peach thread. Lining is satiny tan acetate type fabric.
*(big)Tag:* Two tags - the top one says "Lipman Wolfe & Co. Caliente Sportswear". It's sewn on top of another that says "Leathermode, Water Repellent".
*(big)Closures:* Four leather covered buttons with five buttonholes. Smaller matching buttons for the sleeve cuffs. A long matching belt with an leather buckle.
*(big)Condition:* The top button is missing, and there are pinholes in the leather where it was originally sewn - see closeup #1. If you wear the jacket with the neck open, as most folks do, it's not a significant issue. There's a fair amount of "distressing; i.e., scattered small stains and what looks like an old scar to the animal on the back of the jacket - see closeup (#2) of the most noticeable stain, located on the front left shoulder. I haven't tried any stain removal. On the third inspection, I found a 1/2" repaired tear in the suede in the right rear elbow area - closeup # 3, looks like it was stitched may years ago and rather subtle. The belt looks like it was originally a sash, meant to tie rather than buckle. The thread used to sew the buckle on doesn't quite match the color used for the rest of the jacket, and there aren't any holes for the buckle tongue. You can decide where you want the holes to go.
