It’s unusual to find one of these great vintage Hawaiian shirts with long sleeves. This one has a back yoke, a besom pocket on the left upper chest, and metal buttons textured with a foliage pattern. Seams are serged.

The fabric feels like cotton, with perhaps a touch of rayon; the surface is silky, but has an interesting texture reminiscent of bark cloth. I love the mostly abstract tiki print. The rich warm browns have a graduated ombre-style fade, set off by the crisper patterns using white and goldenrod in addition to the brown.

Buttons down the front

Very good. The shirt has light overall fading. There is a small tear at the top of the cuff binding on the left sleeve; see close-up. It’s such an unobtrusive place, you could get away with wearing the shirt as-is. Or, it could be fixed pretty easily.
