20s Vintage PINK Silk Ostrich Feather Flapper Dress XS

$ 300.00

This is truly gaspworthy, iconically 20s flapper, yet not just another beaded dress! Typical 20s flapper style, more or less straight cut, with some panels of gentle shirring just below the waist on both sides. A large soft bow accents the top of the wrap skirt on the left. Pale peach to pink ostrich feather trim edges the skirt hem and edges a swag of fabric that gathers itself under the bow on the left.

Size: I would estimate XS to S. The crepey nature of the fabric means there's a bit of give, but with antique fabrics, it's best not to test them too far.

Condition

There is a faint watermark at the bust area, about 2 x 4" - I didn't even notice it until the second close inspection after working with the dress for nearly half an hour. There are some small areas of rusty discoloration just above the ostrich trim in the front on the left - subtle to the eye. And on the third inspection, I found a long-ago repaired three corner tear near the hem in the back of the skirt. See close-ups for an idea. The fabric still drapes beautifully there.
