40s 50s Black Gab Cuffed Pleated Front Women's Pants Zippers Med VFG
- Description
These 1940s to 1950s vintage gabardine slacks are so Katharine Hepburn! They are quite sporty and easy to wear, with double pleated front and cuffed legs. Lots of zippers, but the lack of stirrups says casual sportswear as opposed to ski or horseback riding.
SIZE: No size label. Waist size can be customized using the hidden elastic in the back with button tabs on either side. 2" cuffs offer option of lengthening the legs by 2-4 inches.
Measurements | Inches | Centimeters |

FABRIC/COLORS: Black gabardine - I believe it is wool, but the seams are all so beautifully finished that I don't have any access to a fabric edge for testing.
TAGS: No tags.
CLOSURES: The pants close with a metal sideseam zipper plus a button at the waist. The front slash pockets close with metal zippers, and so does the small "watch" pocket set into the right waistband.
CONDITION: The inner waistband has elastic threads to help with fit and keeping upper garments tucked in - those threads have become dry over the decades and are now flaking away - see closeup. This does not affect overall fit or function.
