40s Vintage Extra Wide Neck Tie Satin Jacquard Neck Tie Earth Tone Geometrics Men's Regal Originals VFG
$ 32.00
- Description
This 1940s vintage necktie is a real Bellywarmer, a nickname given to ultra-wide ties of this era for obvious reasons! This one is quite striking, in its use of squared off shapes accented by dota and dashes - the dashes around the edges of the larger shapes remind me of fringe on an Oriental rug. The fabric is most likely rayon - it has a very delicate curving jacquard weave against the predominant satin background. The background color is somewhere between muted putty green and steel gray. The foreground colors are more vibrant - butter yellow, orange and rust, with a bit of black and white.
