Vintage 50s 60s Yellow Windowpane Cabana Shorts McGregor Medium VFG

These are vintage cabana shorts, meaning that they were most likely part of a set with a terry-lined shirt. I believe they are late 50s to 60s vintage, and could be worn as swim shorts, since they are fully lined. The shorts feature an elasticized waist with inner drawstring. There is a a flat front waist section that suggests an opening but that is an illusion. No sideseam pockets, but there is a cute round inner pocket that will hold a few small necessities.

SIZE: Labeled size 40. Waist measurement taken at rest/ moderately stretched

FABRIC/COLORS: The main fabric is fairly substantial, which seems appropriate for swim shorts! It's a woven windowpane plaid in harvest gold with white. It feels cottony, but may be a cotton/synthetic blend - I don't have access to an edge to snip material for a fiber burn test. The inner lining is a synthetic white jersey, probably nylon.

CLOSURES: N/A, these are pull-on with an elastic waist, and inner drawstring. The front tab with button is decorative, not functional.

CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted - these are in such great condition that I think they may be new old stock.
